Forbidden Flavors Citrus-Garlic Pork Roast

Savory. Juicy. Totally Unforgettable.
Your Forbidden Flavors blend shines in this juicy pork roast, creating a crust that's aromatic, citrus-kissed, and packed with spice and herb warmth. It’s easy enough for a weeknight, but fancy enough to wow on Sunday.

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 lb boneless pork shoulder or pork loin

  • 2 Tbsp Forbidden Flavors seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 1 Tbsp honey (optional, for glaze)

  • 1 tsp salt (optional, depending on your blend)

  • Fresh herbs or citrus slices for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix Forbidden Flavors, olive oil, lemon zest, and lemon juice into a paste.

  3. Pat pork dry with a paper towel. Rub the seasoning paste all over the pork—get it into every crease.

  4. Let it sit at room temp for 15–30 minutes to marinate (or refrigerate overnight for full flavor).

  5. Place in a roasting pan or cast iron skillet.

  6. Roast uncovered for 60–90 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 145°F (63°C).

  7. (Optional) During the last 10 minutes, brush with honey for a citrusy-glazed finish.

  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Slice and serve over Forbidden Flavor rice for a double-hit of bold
